Between the threat of floods from tsunamis, earthquakes and volcanoes erupting, it’s better to stay mobile as much as possible. If you get too attached to an area, it will be absolutely devastating when the ground changes. A flood can wash everything away. A volcano can scorch and wash everything away with the mudslides. Then earthquakes can shake everything up and level it all off.
To be mobile is the most desirable lifestyle to used to in times of volatile climate. Even if you leave the Pacific Northwest, there are then threats of tornados in the midwest, or even serious hail or thunderstorms. Many times you have little warning of a natural event, so to already be living in a vehicle can be most helpful. Speed mobility is essential to run away from the problems.
